Abstract:With the acceleration of urbanization process, water logging problems are exacerbating by extreme rainstorms in urban areas. The concepts of “Sponge City” and “low impact development (LID)” have been gradually practiced in modern urban construction, however, there is still lack of research on the interaction mechanism between urban rainfall runoff, water pollutant transport and LID modules. In this paper, the related literatures were summarized, the characteristics, functions and limitations of current popular rain-flood models were analyzed, and the interaction mechanisms between LID modules and vegetation, soil and hydraulic conditions during pollutant transport were investigated. The future challenge lies within the spatial data processing ability, system reliability improvement, risk analysis and economic analysis ability. The model coupling considers the interaction mechanism between runoff pollutant migration and LID modules based on case studies, which forms sustainable urban development system and rainfall-flood management. |
