Zhejiang Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. was established in July 11, 1949. It went through 15 times of transformation successively, namely Zhejiang Construction Company (as government administration then), Zhejiang Urban Construction Bureau,Zhejiang Construction Engineering Bureau, Zhejiang Construction Industry Bureau, Zhejiang Infrastructure Construction Bureau, Zhejiang Construction Engineering General Company, etc. ZCIGC has developed into a modern construction service full-industry chain enterprise group integrating investment, design, construction, operation and maintenance. It is an overall listing state-owned enterprise in Zhejiang Province.
The group now has 14 main subsidiaries, 1 school, 4 business departments, 1 overseas-listed company and more than 200,000 employees. Currently, ZCIGC holds 161 enterprise qualifications in 74 categories. Meanwhile, ZCIGC, possessing the rights of engaging in foreign business,export&import trade and labor dispatching, is a leading enterprise in the construction industry of Zhejiang Province to participate in the international project contracting and trade market. Inheriting the gene of history of revolution, adhering to the army style and forging the Iron Army, the group has alwaysresolutely obeyed the decision and deployment of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Zhejiang Government, and bravely shouldered the political, economic and social responsibilities of state-owned enterprise. ZCIGC participated in the construction of The Great Hall of the People, the Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution, Beijing Railway Station, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and other landmark buildings in the capital. The group has successfully completed the construction of urban infrastructure and most old industrial bases in Zhejiang, such as Hangzhou Iron and Steel Group, Juhua Group Corporation, SINOPEC Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company. The group has also undertaken tasks such as foreign economic aid, earthquake and Typhoon resistance, anti-pandemic projects and construction assistance, and assistant projects in Sichuan, Tibet and Xinjiang. ZCIGC has not only undertaken a large number of key and important landmark projects in Zhejiang province with high standard such as Zhejiang Lab, Zhejiang Cultural Center, G20 Summit Project, Hangzhou Asian Games Project, Hangzhou East Railway Station, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, Hangzhou International Conference Center and West Lake Cultural Square, but also invested and constructed a large number of rural reconstruction and new urban functional community projects. The group has constructed the first Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway and Metro Project of Zhejiang Province with high-standard. The project of Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant undertaken by ZGIGC is the only one in Zhejiang Province to be selected as “Hundred Classics and competitive projects” for the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China.
During the period of the 14th Five-Year Plan, based on the new development stage, the group implements the new development concept, creates a new development pattern and builds a digital international construction investment and operation service provider, serving as the vanguard of the construction of “important widown” in our province.
